Formula

Weight Conversion to Kilograms:

Pounds to Kilograms:
weightInKg=weight×0.453592

Stones to Kilograms:
weightInKg=weight×6.35029

The weight is converted to kilograms if it is entered in pounds or stones. If the weight is already in kilograms, no conversion is needed.

Base Protein Requirement:

baseProtein=weightInKg×0.8

The base protein requirement is calculated as 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight.

Protein Needs Range:

minProteinNeeds=baseProtein×activityFactor×goalFactor×1.2
maxProteinNeeds=baseProtein×activityFactor×goalFactor×1.5

Activity Factor: A multiplier based on the user’s activity level.
Goal Factor: A multiplier based on the user's fitness goal.
The protein needs are adjusted by multiplying the base protein requirement by the activity factor, goal factor, and a range multiplier (1.2 to 1.5) to account for different levels of protein requirements based on activity and goals.
